On date 7 July 09, subsequent to my discussion with Kiran Taneja from Crossroads I had taken a policy from 3 years Crossroads @ INR 999 with an offer that INR 500 would be reduced in the next
premium for insurance of my CAR i.e MATIZ. The Policy Receipt No. is 6729 and the Membership Number is 9004-1597
I had very specifically asked Kiran and the visiting member for if this
offer is valid with all insurance Co. specially "National Insurance Company" and their answer was Yes it is accepted.
Finally when the insurance due date of CAR approached I
contacted "National Insurance Company" for availing this offer, They simply denied having any tie-ups with Crossroads. The card specifying that it was free was treated just as a waste
paper. Since then I had made multiple calls and spoken to many people including SWATI (011-47090909) and Mr. Paul (9311001921). The first reply of Paul was that he would organize someone to pick up
my cheque and honor the promise made by crossroads.
Sorry to say that Mr Paul, failed to fulfill his commitment and after waiting for 24 hours when I tried contacting him he simply did not
pick his mobile. This is highly unprofessional attitude, as the story continued for next 3/4 days I made several calls to Swati -and others too hoping someone would revert - Nobody did and Paul did
not pick his mobile.
As the insurance date was approaching I had to make the payment for same (which I did, without getting the benefit of INR 500). The response seems very bad, 1. The sales
commitment was not fulfilled, 2. There is no tie up atleast between National Insurance Company" and crossroads
3. Irrespective of urgency and many calls made from my side I did not get a
proper response also, and on top of it people stopped accepting my calls.
I feel cheated and requested the authorities to intervene for resolution. Finally on 14 Sept anu.srcc@gmail.com; on
behalf of; Customer Care, Crossroads [care@crossroadshelpline.com] replied via mail that they would refund the INR 500 to me.
Since then it was a long chase up over mails and telephone calls
to their support office but believe me it seems that they used to handle such query as all my calls and emails since then have landed to their deaf ears.
I have all the relevant document only
thing now left is to proceed with Legal proceedings which I have already taken a opinion with different Web portals and collected all relevant documents to proceed only delay is finding time to go
and file this case.
