There’s a healthier option to drinking the night away and it’s called dancing! If you find yourself sitting at your workstation all week and lounging at bars most weekends, get up and get grooving. The NCR doesn’t disappoint, when it comes to discotheques.

Ambience matters
If “the look” of the nightspot matters as much as the nook, The Deck sails high. The theme is that of a ship—from the ship-shaped building to the real ship parts used all over the disco. Nelly Furtado’s “Promiscuous” sets the dance floor on fire as do other dance hits played by the DJ. On the other end of the spectrum is Dublin with its old-world Irish charm. Rock to some techno music between martinis.

The Real Thing
Touted as the mother of all discos in NCR, Elevate boasts of four huge dance floors that keep the city’s young visibly hooked. It has many attractions: vibrating console, visiting international DJs, long hours (it’s open till 4 am) and competitive cover charges. T’zers tugs you with its high-decibel Club and Bollywood remixes, while The Buzz rocks despite a tiny floor.

Five-star discos
They’re safe, they’re glitzy and they’re pricey. But five-star discos are the place to be when it comes to rubbing shoulders with the party-crazy rich and famous. So check out Ashok’s Capitol and dance to Bollywood and Bhangra remixes, page 3 style! Tapas Lounge Bar lets you groove to Hip-Hop hits and raging RnB tracks as well. The Eau at Le Meridien, Concorde, Peppers and The Royal Mirage Discotheque are also popular hotspots.

For great music
Decibel plays great Hip-Hop and Pegs n’ Pints draws the Delhi crowd with its cool remixes. Newer options Six Month Story and Headquarters are good as well.

Other choices
If you are not shaking your booty at one of these dance floors, you could check out few of the other discos in town, such as, Blues, Mezz, Club Saffire, Ministry of Sound, Pacific Blues and RPM.

So put on your dancing shoes and be a part of the mindless mayhem at the city discotheques.
